Lantern Law was formed out of the merger of two successful law firms, both founded in the state of Oregon. The personal, approachable, neighborhood-firm feel of the new combined Lantern Law is rooted in the history of its founders working closely with clients to provide practical legal solutions . He is admitted to practice in both Indiana and Illinois, and is a member of the Indiana and American Bar Associations. Mr. Sabbadini is a proud member of the Lake County Bar Association, handling many cases in that jurisdiction over the past decade.

Doctor Wins Medical Malpractice Claim An 18-year-old man underwent surgery for chronic ear infections after experiencing hearing loss and constant ear drainage. Even though the bank was able to foreclosure on the client’s home, it was not able to sell the house at full price. The attorneys at Lantern Law negotiated with the bank’s attorney to approve a short sale of the property to the client’s nephew. The client and nephew closed on the sale, the client walked away with zero liability and the nephew was able to make a profit on the new purchase of his uncle’s home.
Victim of Assault Case Lantern Law represented the victim of an assault occurring outside a gas station parking lot. The attacker fled the scene but turns out he was on parole from previous charges including rape and robbery. The firm was able to serve subpoenas on the hospital and doctor who treated the client, the city, which owned the gas station, and the attacker. In addition to medical bills, the firm’s attorneys gathered evidence, obtained his medical records and interviewed witnesses at the site to show the gas station allowed people to congregate in a dangerous parking area and failed to provide adequate security. The firm sought damages for medical expenses, lost income, general damages and punitive damages against the attacker, his parole officer, the gas station and the city.
